Cham is a city in Upper Palatinate in Bavaria, Germany. Its name is pronounced quite similar to the English word "calm" and not with a German "ch" sound.

By car

Chaim lies along the Bundestraße 20, 22 and 85

If you are coming from farther away, you will most likely take the Autobahn A3 (Nuremberg-Regensburg-Passau) or A93 (from the West)

By train

• 1 Train station, Bahnhofstr. 11. Regular trains connect Cham with other parts of Germany as well as the Czech Republic. There are direct trains to/from Prague as well as regional connections to surrounding places.

• Frey (Modeerlebniskaufhaus Frey), Marktplatz 11 (either enter from the town square (Marktplatz) or the level below from 'Fuhrmannstraße'). The best place for shopping in Cham.
